Hey there! I’m Caitlin Collins, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be back at the Shast art tour! My go-to medium is charcoal pencil on toned paper, though I also dabble in colored pencil and acrylics. Painting murals is another passion of mine. I’ve been immersed in drawing and painting for about 6 years now, thanks in no small part to my wonderful teacher and friend, Joni Bowen. Art found me during a challenging time—I suffered a severe back injury, and through the encouragement of Joni, I discovered how therapeutic and inspiring art can be. Since then, it’s been a deep-seated passion that fuels me every day. When I’m not creating, I’m shaping young minds as a theatre teacher at Hampton High School. My world outside of art is just as fulfilling, thanks to my amazing husband Brandon and our three incredible boys: Vince, Wyatt, and Dean. A huge shout-out to Denise and Hanley for graciously hosting me once again at their incredible studio, HanDen Studios. Can’t wait to share my latest creations with you all!
