There’s nothing more amazing and magical to me than nature. Light...air...colors...textures...sounds. All one really needs for inspiration. I listen. I watch. I absorb. Then I report back what I experience... I don’t necessarily paint what I see...I paint how I feel about what I see. I paint with my spirit. I allow my intuition to guide me. And I’m always amazed at what happens. Canvas, paper, wood. I love it all. Acrylic and oil. The occasional watercolor...dirt, sand, mashed up leaves or berries...whatever can leave a mark, I’ll work with. Having been a florist for many years, I believe that nature has all the answers. Spending time in a foreign land, in the North Georgia Mountains or on the glorious beaches of 30a with different qualities of light, different terrain, and a slower pace is what I crave. I want to share my stories and even lend myself to the community if there’s a chance. I love putting a paint brush in the hands of someone who thinks they can’t do it. I show them that they can. And they do! And there is joy that comes from all of that. Unplug from the normal. Plug into the unfamiliar. Absorb the energy of the place. Write a new chapter. Create an experience that once shared with others would allow them to feel as if they had been transported to the place I explored. I walk lightly when I need to. And I’ll dance up a storm if you ask me...Fearlessly moving through the world with eyes wide open. And a generous heart to share. I am like a hunter gatherer in search of unique information. I think I've been a storyteller my whole life. I approach painting like a conversation. It's between me, the paint, the surface and my brush. Lots of back and forth going on. Inquiring. Listening. Asking. Nature is my teacher... all I have to do is pay attention. My journey starts every day with clear eyes and the desire to put paint on a surface. I start at zero every day. As if every thing I see is new. Self taught. But my education is through travel and participating in art residencies. I have had the opportunity to delve into my work with fierce commitment. Fully inspired, and always seeking...eyes wide open. Acrylic, oil, ink, mixed media.

Variety of paintings in a variety of sizes! My studio experience will expand out into my yard space so to create an inspiring experience. As nature is my muse.
