Christy moved from VP Marketing to CEO of Re-Prioritizing Her Life. She began teaching metalsmithing classes at a bead store in Santa Monica, CA in 2013 as a fun side-hustle, while working full-time in advertising.
When that business closed, she left the Ad World and opened her own teaching studio in her Venice Beach, CA garage, offering a growth-path of 11-classes led by 5 instructors. Her unique approach to engaging the heart/hands/mind connection resulted in over 150 5-star reviews in 3-years.
Now in Peachtree City, the Studio offerings include Soldering, Metalsmithiong & Stone Setting classes plus no-experience-necessary Make-And-Take Projects and parties. Throughout it all though, the heart of the August Axel Jewelry Studio remains the same: empower people through positive, memory-making experiences.

During the tour
Handmade, one-of-a-kind jewelry using sterling silver, recycled tin and southwestern turquoise. Hands-on engagement opportunities include make-and-take projects like texturing and polishing a sterling silver cuff bracelet. Jewelry-fabrication and soldering demos will also be scheduled throughout the event. Sign-ups for Jewelry Soldering for Beginners and Jewelry Metalsmithing Skills for Beginners classes will also be available.
