Swift Fine Art

For Lisa Swift, art has been a lifelong pursuit. She began drawing her family as a child and created her first self-portrait at age twelve—an early experience that sparked her fascination with traditional artistic techniques and the expressive possibilities of painting.

Lisa earned her BFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design and has since developed a body of work that includes portraiture, figurative paintings, landscapes and commissioned artwork. Working in oil, acrylic and mixed media, she is particularly drawn to painting from direct observation, both en plein air and in her Senoia studio. Light and its effect on color are central to her work, helping her capture not only the appearance of a subject but also its character, mood and sense of place.

During the Southern Hands Artist Studio Tour, visitors can step inside Swift Fine Art, meet Lisa, learn more about her painting process and discover original artwork created right here in our community.
