Katie Ferguson, Muddy Goddess Ceramics

Katie Ferguson is the Senoia artist behind Muddy Goddess Ceramics, an independent creator brand known for funky, expressive ceramics with plenty of personality. 

Working with both hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques, Katie creates functional pottery and sculptural pieces that balance usefulness with playful, unexpected character.

Her work embraces the variations, textures, and natural imperfections that make handmade objects unique. 

Rather than striving for factory-made uniformity, Katie celebrates the marks of the maker and allows each piece to develop an identity of its own.

Katie joins the Southern Hands Artist Studio Tour for the first time in 2026, bringing a spirited perspective on contemporary handmade pottery to the Tour’s Senoia community.

Visitors can become part of the creative process with a hands-on, collaborative clay project. Add to or carve into a work in progress, leaving your own mark as the piece evolves with each person’s contribution.
