Greg Blair, Dogwood Gallery & Framer

Greg Blair understands art from both sides of the frame. As an artist and the creative force behind Dogwood Gallery & Framer, he brings an artist’s eye to his own work and to every custom-framing project.

Greg works closely with artists, collectors, and families to find framing that complements the artwork without competing with it. Whether he is presenting the work of a local artist or helping a couple select the perfect frame for an original Seurat, his approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and deeply respectful of the artist’s vision.

GUEST ARTISTS:

Greg Blair | Mixed Media & Acrylic Painting
Greg creates texture-rich paintings that blend acrylics with embedded objects, turning everyday materials into unexpected elements of art. Keys, watch faces, hardware, and other found objects draw viewers into his layered compositions, revealing hidden details and unexpected connections along the way. His distinctive works have found homes with local collectors and admirers across the country.

Jane Whitehurst | Oil Painting
For Jane, painting begins with the simple act of starting—and following where the creative flow leads. Having attended the Glassell School of Art, she brings rich color and intriguing layers to paintings that evoke feeling much as music creates a mood. During the Tour, meet Jane, explore her work, and talk with her about the spontaneous process that guides each painting.
