Birds, angels, feathers, and fish swim, fly and float through Sherry Cook’s mixed media paintings. You can
feel the magic that sparks her soulful paintings when visiting her studio home nestled in the woods by a private
lake in north Coweta County. Moonlight swims and walks in the woods inspire the images that turn up in
Sherry’s work. Her career as a professional artist spans four decades and her art has traversed through ceramics,
handmade paper, sheet metal and encaustics. Through all these materials, Sherry’s themes remain the same,
always returning to the exploration of the soul, the unconscious, and what lies below the surface in the seen and
unseen world. Her newest highly textured acrylic paintings incorporate modeling paste, plaster, fabric and
pencil drawings. Priced from under $10 to over $3000, her work is accessible to all budgets.
