I am applying as a Guest Artist. I have read and understand the Guest Artist guidelines. Artists new to the tour will be required to allow the Tour Jury to complete an on-site visit to view the applicant’s work and/or studio prior to acceptance.

All Artists Must:
Have a posted business license and have all legal permits as required by your local governing body.
Have a body of original art, created by the artist, in the claimed media to show and sell; NO commercial kits, prefabricated pieces or buy/sell are allowed in this tour.
Be willing to demo or otherwise provide educational information regarding your art to visitors.
Choose 1 discipline, If multidiscipline artist, to demo and at least 80% of what you show to sell must be in that chosen medium.
Adhere to all deadlines (i.e. payment, materials, pickup dates etc.).
Help publicize the Tour by distributing printed publicity materials, utilizing social media and/or sending out email or mailed invitations.
Arrange for studio assistant(s) to assist with visitors, sales, collection of names and contact information, etc.
Place signage, provided by SHAST, prior to the Tour to assist visitors in finding your studio.
Be at your designated location during the publicized days and hours of the Studio Tour.
Collect and pay sales taxes as required by your county and State.
Encourage visitors to complete the e-mail address/contact form.
Serve refreshments of their choice during the tour.
Studio Artist Please verify you meet the following Studio Tour criteria:
Studio is located in Coweta or Fayette County
Studio is a place where I create and display my art
¨ I have parking for at least 5 vehicles ¨ I carry Homeowners/business insurance ¨ I have a posted business license as required by my local governing body.
Guest Artists - Please indicate if you have a participating artists’ studio preference. The Tour Committee reserves the right to designate where Guest Artists will be located, but will make every attempt to honor requests.

The Southern Hands Artist Studio Tour does not carry insurance to cover your personal property or against personal injury to you, your family and friends, or visitors to the Tour. Participation in the Tour signifies that the Artist agrees to and releases the Southern Hands Artist Studio Tour Committee members, individuals, and all partnering organizations from all liability, any legal action that may arise or occur to exhibitor, their students, workers, or guests, any damages to personal property or personal injury sustained by the Artist, helpers or visitors while participating in the Tour.
The Artist is solely responsible for their property and art.
The Artist is solely responsible for collecting, reporting and paying of all applicable sales tax.
Application materials will not be returned. Submission of your application indicates that, if accepted, you grant The Southern Hands Artist Studio Tour permission to use any images you have provided to publicize the Tour and your studio/artwork during the event.

The $150 fee is nonrefundable after artist is notified of acceptance via email. SHAST reserves the right to reject applications and return all fees except the $25.00 application fee. There are a limited number of artists in each category. Charge for a returned check is $35. Artists will be notified of acceptance no later than July 5, 2020. To pay your fees on line, go to SHAST.com. Click on Artist info, scroll to Artist application, at the bottom of the page is our paypal payment option.
Please, E-MAIL the following items to email@example.com when you mail your application. Completed applications can be scanned and sent to the above e-mail address Your submitted text and images will be used on the SHAST website, in advertising and/or in other promotions. Please send professional photos! If you need assistance we will be happy to refer you to Gobi Photography.
1. The most recent Artist Bio or Statement about your work; 2. Written directions to your studio from the nearest main road(s);
3. A brief description of the items you will have for sale and any special activities you will have during the Tour for guests to attend or in which they may participate.
4. Ten (10) images of your recent works:
Jpeg, tif or PDF format only (no zip files, or photo sharing sites)
Identify each image as follows: last name, first initial, number and title [Smith, A 4 BIGART]
