As a young girl, I knew that a passion of art would follow me throughout my life. I was inspired by my mother's artistic abilities in the field of pottery and mosaics.
I began my journey as a glass artist in 1997. Glass is a medium that is incredibly versatile. It provides me with endless variations of colors and textures, the perfect medium to carryout artistic inspirations. I ensure that each piece of art that leaves my studio is uniquely crafted with incomparable quality.
I hope that the viewer finds my work to have a sense of unique beauty, enchantment, and maybe, even absurdity. It is a joy for me to share what I do. I find it all great fun and an infinite challenge.
During the Tour
Gail will respond to questions regarding techniques she uses in fused glass.
You will be able to tour her studio and view the tools and kilns she uses in the fused glass process.
Fused glass, also called warm glass or kiln-formed glass is a technique used to join together pieces of glass. The kiln must be fired at temperatures of about 1100 to 1700 degrees Fahrenheit. Studio GG will be offering decorative, as well as, functional fused glass art, jewelry, wind chimes, nightlights, sun catchers, and much more.
